Inspiration Image

We want to know what our clients admire.  What image do they have in mind that might inspire the direction the design will take.  In this case, the client had this chapel in the woods and we discussed what drew them to the image.

Bubble Diagram

Bubble Diagram.jpg

Once we listen to the client's wishes and priorities, we want to learn all we can about the building site:  Where are the views?  How do you arrive there?  What is the grade of the site?  Where are all utilities, etc.?  We sketch those out schematically and then draw proportional shapes of the spaces being requested, doing our best to orient them in an efficient relationship.  Our goal is always to integrate our client's dreams with the realities of the building site.

Preliminary Design & Site Layout

Once we have a good understanding of what our clients want and as much information about the location as possible, we work to bring the bubble diagram to life in 3D while we are developing the plan to best fit the site.

Early Design & PreliminarySite Layout

Using our 40 years of experience in the design/build industry, we work to develop the most appropriate solutions for our client's projects. Once they feel we are on the right path, we work together to select materials and develop the details that will make a memorable and successful project.

Final Design & Construction Drawings

Once the clients are happy with the design, we prefer to develop full construction drawings so that the clients, the builder, the subcontractors, and all team members know exactly what will be built. During this process, we are often asked to help specify finishes, trim details, cabinets, and help the client navigate the thousands of decisions necessary to achieve a successful, fully realized home.
